Previously it was rated M, and was pulled from the shelves of stores when it changed. The incident is also responsible for the GTA San Andreas rating being changed to adult only. These mods made it possible to unlock this once inaccessible content and experience a part of the game that was never meant to be available, especially to the less mature audience that got their hands on the game. Since the original files were not removed before the game was released, modders have made ways to access these files. The mini-game allows you to enter the house of CJ’s girlfriend and partake in a crudely rendered act of attempted procreation. The GTA Hot Coffee mod re-enables a mini-game that was originally left out of the finished game. However, as the patch was released too late, it’s best used only by those who don’t plan to use the mod that is patched out. The patch won’t change how well the game runs, especially as the game is somewhat dated and requires little resource usage already. This event is known as the Hot Coffee incident. However, files that this patch disabled have been used by modders to rerelease the unused content to players.
Newer versions of the Grand Theft Auto title have the effects of this patch already in place to prevent the same occurrences from happening.
